Great ambience. A very nice, calm set up thats ideal for some quiet time with friends over a drink or two. Makes for a pleasant experience, especially after the noise and bustle of most bars in Abu Dhabi. On most nights they have a singer and a keyboardist over - a lady and a gentleman who provide for some soft, pleasant background music that never intrudes on conversation, whilst being audible enough for those interested. The service is excellent, the waiters always have a smile on their faces and remember you after just a couple of visits. The view from the Black Pearl is fabulous - it overlooks the pools of the hotel and the arabian sea beyond.

On the flipside, the menu at the Black Pearl could have done with being a bit more extensive. Anyone looking for anything more than just bar snacks could be disappointed. Also, some may find Al Raha Beach Hotel a little too far away from the Abu Dhabi mainland for comfort.

To sum it up, the ambience, the service and the quality of food (if not the selection), coupled with the extensive collection of cocktails and other spirits on offer makes Black Pearl the place to go for a quiet evening with friends.
